Primarily by taking a break and thinking about where I'm stuck. I usually pace around the house for a good while, just thinking through story direction and dialogue flow. It doesn't always help immediately, but it's great for getting away from a blank screen and letting my mind work.
Sometimes I simply step away from the project and stop thinking about it for a day or so. Occasionally my problem is that I am thinking of something too much, and I've got to let my mind take a break.

It may be cliche, but my advice is simply to keep writing. It's really easy to get discouraged when you don't pump out an epic instantly, or when you hit your first major case of writer's block.
You have to remain encouraged and positive about yourself and your work. Patience is a virtue!

Primarily reading some good books. The series that probably got me the most inspired was the 'Breakers' series by Edward Robertson; the book was well-crafted, and finding out it was self-published gave me a lot of confidence that it was possible to write and release my own book.
