Lacey Summers Never wait too long once you have an idea. Whether you're a pantser or a plotter, get those ideas down on paper or screen, then worry about the editing later. This is a struggle for me, because I tend to be a perfectionist in that area, but really that first draft is for figuring out the story, uncovering the treasure, carving out the marble statue from the shapeless stone. Write what you want to write, not what the stats dictate. And may every story you write have hope and inspiration that will turn people's eyes toward the One Who gave you the gift of writing!
Lacey Summers Probably most writers will tell you that inspiration is everywhere, truly! But I get inspired from movies, books, music, things I hear people say, Pinterest, and of course, from history. :)
Lacey Summers I have sooo many ideas in progress right now, but the main manuscript I'm working on the most consistently would fit into the Christian fiction genre, and the title is still to be hammered out. I can say it's an international story involving the future of America and the global possibilities there. Hopefully it will be my greatest work yet!
Lacey Summers The adventures I get to go on inside my own head, the stories I get to create and share with the world, the themes I get to explore, the truths I am able to draw to the surface, the hope I can give to others in story form, being able to immortalize what is close to my heart through the written word. And it's fun! :)
