K. Trace Sometimes I'm not inspired to write, but I sit down and do it anyway. When the inspiration comes it's a lucky day.
K. Trace Bite the bullet and just do it. The hardest part isn't the writing, it's putting your work out there and the fear of rejection.
K. Trace I'm currently working on a new edition of my non-fiction book about surviving and thriving as a fledgling educator (A Wannabe Teacher’s Guide to Getting Hired, Having Fun, & Staying Sane). With NCLB gone and the Every Child Succeeds Act in several changes need to be made. I’m also adding more tips and tricks and more advice from veteran teachers.
K. Trace The idea for this book started in college. The initial idea was to write ten stories from Maria's perspective. The Samantha character didn't even evolve until years later. Ultimately, I wanted to write a book about a woman figuring out who she is in her early twenties. In a sense it is a coming of age story. I also feel strongly about the right to die in situations of terminal illness so I wanted the book to address that issue as well. The controversial segments about poverty just came out of me as part of the setting and ended up being integral to the plot.
