K.M. Doherty Jennifer dropped the priceless vase. And then the murders began...
K.M. Doherty Sorry for the delay. I just found your question. If you click on the book, "Thomas Holland in the Realm of the Ogres" the click on the Amazon link (Goodreads makes it tiny) it will take you to the page on Amazon. Or - here it is: http://amzn.to/2gFCclY

Or sign up for my newsletter to find out all kinds of fun stuff about the book, and the next book, and where I'll be (to get a signed copy) etc... http://www.thomashollandbooks.com/new...
K.M. Doherty K. It's available on Amazon. Here's the link: http://amzn.to/2gFCclY

If you want a signed copy, sign up for my newsletter and you can see where I'll be signing books, and when the third one in the trilogy will be out. You can hear about fun things that are going on, as well. Like I had a dragon naming contest while I was writing the 2nd book, and offered a "secret scene" for those who pre-ordered it on Amazon. Here's a link to the sign up page on my website: http://www.thomashollandbooks.com/new...
K.M. Doherty Thanks for the question Travis. I'm getting a lot of people asking when I'm coming out with the second book in the series. I guess I'll have to write it!
K.M. Doherty So far I've never had writer's block, knock on synthetic wood ('cause that's what my desk is made from.) I have an engineering background, so I'm one of those writers who over-plans. I create a preposterously large outline detailing what characters are involved, when they're introduced, which chapter has the climax, what elements are needed to build to that climax and when they're introduced. I even put in snippets of dialog as I think of them. Once the outline is mostly finished, I start writing the story, but I don't try for perfection the first draft; I just want to get something down. (My last novel took me probably 20 revisions.) All of this makes it easy for me to sit down and keep writing.
K.M. Doherty You have the power to go anywhere, be anyone, do anything.
K.M. Doherty Start writing! There's a wonderful saying, attributed to the German mathematician Goethe: “Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!”
― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
K.M. Doherty I love writing. I keep a notebook of things I see, things I hear (interesting turns of phrases, etc,) unusual items, interesting facts I find that are related to my book. I also journal snippets of dialog whenever they pop into my head. Including while I'm in bed at night.
K.M. Doherty My grandkids had me read some of their favorite books: the Fablehaven series, Percy Jackson, The False Prince, and The Mysterious Benedict Society. I love fantasy and science fiction. With the popularity of the Harry Potter series and with my interest physics, specifically 'string theory' and parallel universes, I decided to combine my interests and write a novel with an unusual blend of fantasy and science fiction; a book I hoped my grandkids would love.
