Hi Olive!
Hope you had a wonderful holiday! I loved Hemingway when introduced to him in high school and continued to throughout college and the rest of my reading life so far. King, my Aunt Betty would sneak to me, under the nose of my devoutly religious mother, who didn't approve. I started writing when I was five, jotting down stories and even writing a continuing serial for my ballet class, LOL! I entered a Star Wars writing competition when I was still young, my first try, and continued to write all through my teen and adult years. They were mostly little stories I didn't think were good enough, so I kept throwing them away. Reading the story of how Stephenie Meyer was able to write her book so fast while caring for her young children made me realize I had to bite the bullet and write that book I'd been dreaming about and piecing together. Rising Tide was born, which gave me the courage to write much more quickly and fearlessly :)
Thank you for your question :)

Hi DiAnn,
Thank you so much for taking the time to review BCH! I really appreciate your help with the Indiegogo campaign as well to illustrate the book; it was all of you who helped to make it happen. That is so sweet you sponsor a bunny at the Humane Society. Rabbits are often overlooked as neglected and abused pets. We have four rescue bunnies in our house. Two did come from that breeder's shed, but I still assert we rescued them. Butters' conditions were just as described. I've shared your review and will continue to and hope it may hope Nala find a forever home. The illustrations are very expensive and my illustrator for Butters doesn't wish to do more children's books, so I need to find someone who is just as good, which will be no easy feat. I'm hoping to do a Christmas book about my rabbit, Tegan, and hoping the next Butters book will come in the few months after that. If sales take off, I'll be able to produce the next one sooner, so we'll see. I'd like to have another one out tomorrow, but will work at everything as hard as I can :) Thank you so much for your interest in my writing and in furbabies! I appreciate you!

Thank you so much and I wish you best of luck with the giveaway! LOL nope, I gladly take comments too :)

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your interest in the series. I'm working on my first children's book about pet rabbits, and a mostly true story of my own bunny, Butters Comes Home. I'm crowfunding it (with perks) here: http://bit.ly/1OXUHeN You can see lots of pictures there. And I'm halfway done with writing the third book, Riptide, in my Maura DeLuca trilogy. How about you?

Well your comment brought tears to my eyes. What an amazing early Christmas present. There is nothing that makes me happier than getting a message like this. I spent six years writing Rising Tide and reader excitement made every moment totally worth it. I'm so proud of this book. It just won a Gold Medal in the International Readers' Favorite competition and was a Medalist winner for the New Apple Awards. It's done better than ever imagined possible. And that is because of wonderful readers like you! I'm overjoyed that you are so excited about it and look forward to your honest commentary. I ordered the book this morning and Createspace is very fast to ship. I hope I'll get to come to your town to sign it someday soon. Thank you so much again. Your comment was the wonderful start to a sleepy Monday! :) xoxo

Hi Renae! Your book looks so fresh and intriguing. New idea! I can't wait to read it. Thank you for visiting the website. I hope you got a chance to enter some of the giveaways :). Rising Tide: Dark Innocence is the first novel in my trilogy and the best to start with. I would love to hear your thoughts...and thank you! I will certainly leave a review for you too!
Best of luck with your book!

Hi Dave and thank you! We actually moved to Kitchener when our landlord sold our house. I moved to Ontario from Vancouver when I met my husband at a work retreat. We used to live in Toronto but he got a job at an IT firm, Lunarstorm, in Guelph. Have you always lived around here?
Dave
I was born in Toronto. But have lived in Guelph most of my life. I have family in England as well. I wish you all the best and looking forward to read

Thank you very much! I did go to college there and the Ron the character is based on went to college there with me. I loved living there and had so many good times. It's also easier/more believable to write about things and places you know. Thanks so much for your interest in Rising Tide :)
Claudette Melanson
Well I do now, lol! Nice to connect. :) Thanks for the links, will definitely check them out!

Eventually I will be, yes. Just focusing on book 3 for the Maura DeLuca trilogy at the moment. Thanks for the question :)
Claudette Melanson
Thank you so much! Book 3 is about halfway done and should be released this fall. Sorry to keep you waiting and thank you so much for reading my books :)

It is due out this year. Thanks for the interest, it's very much appreciated :D

Hi Dennis! Gave it a visit, very nice site! You should have a way set up so that people can follow you. Mailchimp is a great way to build your email list :)

Thank you for the friendship also, Vaughan! Thank you so much! I would be honored. Seems like I'm forever pressed for time. Not yet, but I did get to cut my hours to part time, so that leaves more time for writing :)
Keep in touch and take care :)

Wow! Hi Elaine, so nice to meet you!! It is a small world! Thanks for connecting. Oh yes I frequent the book stores in Guelph every chance I get! We should have coffee there sometime :)

Well, if you are familiar with my other books, sisters are a common theme for me. It's probably because I feel so close to my own sister. She is the one person in the whole world who truly understands me. I think the sister bond is one like no other
With my first novel, Rising Tide, it took six years to complete. I was nervous and unsure, but after publishing that all went away. It took 9 months to write Undertow...which is 474 pages. It took a couple of nights each to write both Shimmer and Minion. I already have 100 pages of Riptide, the third Maura book and several other novel starts.
I turned down two publishing contracts for Rising Tide, because I want to keep MY vision for the books and don't want someone else gaining control over my stories. I'll stay that way, too. Although I wouldn't mind accepting a movie contract.... lol

Hi Claudette. What do you commit to in a publishing contract?

I don't, lol. I like having control over my own books, so I've turned down two. I'd rather make it my own business :)

Thanks so much, Brenda! I'm so happy to hear that. Undertow is right on schedule to be released! I met all the deadlines with my editor and Amazon so we are a-go! I hope everyone will enjoy it. There are a lot of twists and turns this time :)
