Currently, I'm writing a short story about my bleeding disorder. This is the first time I've ever written anything that actually happened in my life.
Most of my writings come from dreams or nightmares. Some come from a mixture of both. Though there have been a few stories that have came from a spur of the moment idea. It just really depends on what mood I'm in on where ideas come from.

Most of the time it just hits. Here lately it's been when I'm heading to work thinking about adding new characters to my Valhaven Island Trilogy. I've worked through a lot of characters being added just driving and listening to the radio. Though I'm not able to write it down, I remember it when I get to work and jot down notes right then and there.
I also listen to music when I'm trying to get in the mood to write, sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.

Right now I'm currently working on my second novel in the Valhaven Island Trilogy. I'm also working on a few short stories as part of some awesome anthologies that will be releasing later on this year.

Just write! Don't worry about editing or what anyone else is going to say. Write what you have to say and worry about the other stuff later. And follow your heart.

For me the best thing about being a writer is being able to share the many stories that are flowing in my head. I have a lot of story ideas and I just want to be able to share my stories with the world. So being able to share my stories is the best part about being a writer.

I struggle with writer's block a lot. Most of the time I put my work down and just do something else until I get the inspiration to write. A lot of the time I will go and read something or I'll go and paint to get my head clear. Then sometimes nothing helps and I go weeks without writing a single thing.
