Catherine DePasquale Write your first draft as if no one will ever read it. Then truth will flow out onto the pages. You can always go back and change things during the revisions. And believe in your own story. You will get bad reviews, so you have to believe in your own story or you will become discouraged. Not every story is for everyone.
Catherine DePasquale Feedback from my readers. Knowing that something you have created has touched them on a deeper level.
Catherine DePasquale I try to avoid writer's block by only sitting down to write after I have been thinking about a scene for a long time. I don't believe in the old rule "write every day." I write when I know I have something to write about. Sitting and looking at a blank screen with nothing to type creates unnecessary anxiety.
