I believe words have power so when you tell yourself you're having writer's block then you create it and make what could just be your mind resting for a beat, into a bigger problem. Most of the time I just go with it, accept that I don't want to write at that moment, and either pick up a book or go for a hike. I know eventually I'll come back to writing.
