The idea came to me while writing a different story. I wanted to write something that would show how bad human's can be to one another during a bad situation. It just happened to be that this situation is during the zombie apocalypse. Good people can either be really good or they can be really bad. I also wanted to show that bad people can have some redeeming qualities to them when things in the world go wrong. Not always, but it can happen.

Sometimes it's just a random idea that hits me and I have to write it. I have had ideas hit me while watching a movie, TV show or reading a book. Writing to me is a drug and it's my drug of choice.

I just finished a zombie book titled "The Dead and The Living" and I am working on book two now. I thought I might take a break and write something different but the characters didn't want me to leave them. So, I am working on book two now.

Read a lot. Don't just read books in the genre you want to write in. Read everything. If you have an author that you love reading, studying their books and how they write them. When reading other authors, do the same. It helps a lot. Sometimes the best ideas for a new book or short story can be sparked from something you are reading.

Writer's block is something all authors fear. The best solution for it is to write. Just keep pushing trough it. If the story you are working on doesn't grab you, try something new. Don't get discouraged, just keep writing.
