There are important stories to be told as everyone has stories of danger, adventure, horror, and unbearable loss - all can be mystery stories, because we all want to ask why me? Stories that interest me are survival tales that are beyond belief and are a mystery.

No. Garrett's Bones is a stand alone novel. However, in the near future, I am planning a series entitled, The Stone Arch, Book 1, of The Graveyard Mysteries Series and my other series or chronicle is entitled, The Ghost Witch, Book 1 of the White Witch Chronicles. I will be quite busy! K. D. Dowdall

Hi Molly,
I am less than half way through Gil Adamson's novel, I am reading two other novels for reviews, but I plan to get back to her book soon. So far, to me Mary is a victim. The husband was cruel to her and I believe caused the death of her infant. The mystery of Mary is difficult to understand at this point in my read of the novel. I have a feeling I won't know for sure until the end of the novel.

Cursed is a trilogy and I was very interested in how the author S.J. West, handled the subject. This young adult paranormal story is about fallen angels, good ones and bad ones. Her protagonist is well done and the other characters are strong. The overall theme is a love story with almost insurmountable odds against the would-be lovers. Will they overcome the odds is the vehicle that keeps the story moving forward. The tension was palpable and that makes a novel very readable and enjoyable.

I read about an incident in the newspaper that I found interesting and it gave me an idea for something I have been wanting to write for a long time.

I find that observation of the world around you with so many interesting people, places, and situations are an important key to my inspirations. Yet, I find the most mundane things to generate the idea for a book: a spilled cup of coffee, a newspaper thrown away, a baseball cap discarded, a child's chalk drawing on a sidewalk are all inspirational to me.

I am working on a coming-of-age novel, a time mystery novel, two short stories, and several poems/prose projects. I also have several websites and a community page on Facebook: The Writer's Attic.

My advice is to write everyday about anything and everything and don't be afraid to think out of the box. It helps to read about writing, and also, read other other author's works, here on Goodreads. There are so many wonderful writers here on Goodreads who are very encouraging and helpful.

When I am stumped in the middle of a chapter, I stop what I am doing and turn to another novel, short story or poem I have been working on. This gives my creative thought process a burst of insight, surprisingly, and I can return to the chapter that I was working on. It works for me.
