I don't know. Sometimes a character will pop into my head and say, "hey lady, I need you to write a story about me." And so it begins.

I honestly don't remember what inspired me. It seems I've been doing it all of my life--well for most of my life anyway. I completed my first manuscript when I was eleven years old and sent it to Warner Brothers who responded with a very nice, and empathetic rejection letter. Lol. But I held on to that letter for many years, because they told me that I was brave to write a complete novel at my age. I'm sorry I don't have it anymore.

I don't, but have in the past. For anyone struggling in this area, I would encourage you to read, read, read and write, write, write, then read and write some more. Read everything! Writer everything! This practice will keep your mind perpetually stimulated.

I found myself teetering on the precipice of a jagged crag with it's peaks jutting into a swirling darkness. I balanced wobbly between the cloaked stranger baring his blood-dripping fangs and an endless descent into eternal darkness.
