Tim Wheat Evan! I enjoyed your review. I think you'd be surprised by the number of intellectuals slinging drinks at your local establishments! Anyway, to answer your question, yes, I did "vomit" Ma'iitso Rises into the computer in about six weeks. It's development into Rex Chase was a longer affair, however. When I'm really humming I can put out about 3-4 pages an hour, but I'd say my average is more like 2. It kind of depends how much research in need to do. Thanks for the question and I hope I answered it to your satisfaction! Maybe I'll see you again at Chilis one of these days!
Tim Wheat If I'm stuck on something, I'll often just move on and come back to it later. When I write books I often have more than one storyline going on at the same time and I've never been stuck on all of them at once.
Tim Wheat The flexible schedule.
Tim Wheat Read. Read. Read. Then. Write. Write. Write. Ask for help when you need it. Then. Write. Write. Write.
Tim Wheat I'm promoting Rex Chase and The Sentinel pretty hard right now, and have also started writing on The Russian, and another seperate, unnamed, novel.
Tim Wheat I'm not very good at falling asleep. A lot of my good ideas come to me as I lay in bed!
Tim Wheat I've had the Rex Chase trilogy bouncing around in my head for years with Rex Chase, The Sentinel, and The Russian as the three installments.
