I lead a little book club of dear friends and family members we set up over zoom in the pandemic, and Mrs Sinclairs Suitcase is our book this month! I just wondered why you added the letters found in books at the start of each chapter? Would you consider Dorothy or dorothea actions to be wrong in the 'John' scenario? Why did you include Nina in the end of the book? Thank you so much for reading, loved the book!

Louise Walters Hi Jeanne, thanks so much for your question. My second novel A Life Between Us was published in 2017 and my third novel The Road to California will be published on 1st March 2018. Both books are/will be available in ebook and paperback. Thanks so much for getting in touch.

Thanks for your answer Louise! I love that type of stories, and I loved all the characters from the book , my favorite was Roberta, because actually, one of my nieces name is also Roberta. I'm looking forward for more of your books? (the question mark was needed)

Louise Walters Hi Maria! Thanks so much for getting in touch. Glad you enjoyed Mrs Sinclair's Suitcase. I have to be honest and say, I'm not sure what happens to Roberta and Philip, although I'm pretty sure they still live in the flat above the bookshop and spend their days working there. I suspect they are a good couple, happy and content. There might be a child or two by now... who knows? And I like to think Anna visits from time to time, forming a relationship with Roberta. Let's hope so!

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Louise Walters The best thing is the joy of writing. Making up worlds and peopling them with characters of our own invention. At times it can be an almost mystical experience. I also feel at my calmest and most complete as a person when I'm writing (unless it's not going well, when I become a stressed out wreck).

Your story "Mrs. Sinclair's Suitcase" is amazing. I'm listening to it in audio and stumbled on it at the library. It is a gem that all women would love. The audio version is one of the most well done I have listened to. Thank you and I look forward to your next book. (How are you doing? It needed a question mark!)

I started to, but it was so odd hearing my words spoken by those brilliant actresses. I felt so self-conscious. I'm doing fine, thank you for asking. My second novel is out 28 March. No plans for an audio version yet, but fingers crossed there will be one. Hope this answers your questions?!
