Yes Rachel! So, Last Light is so HUGE that it will probably be 2 books. The First book will be out September 30th, the second by December 1st.

When I was growing up, I spent summers on a horse farm owned by my BFF's grandparents. Weird stuff would happen in the main house - scary stuff. And we suspected the house was haunted. Her grandmother finally confirmed one day that the house was haunted by a woman who was murdered by her husband in the main parlor- he then hung himself on the banister. That one room NO ONE - not even the animals - would stay in. It felt as though someone was watching you all the time. I'd use that as a mystery that needs to be solved.

Gosh, this is impossible to answer. There are so many I've adored. When I write, I try to build rich, tumultuous, fiery relationships because that is what attracts ME to a book. Kian & Ana, Eila & Raef (and Rillin), MJ and ******

Pix and Kian appear in every UNDERTOW novel (which currently includes UNDERTOW and STORMFRONT) and will eventually include TRUE NORTH as well. CRUEL SUMMER was written because fans went so nuts for them in UNDERTOW and STORMFRONT :)

Be a reader - read all the time. To learn the craft of writing, one must be an avid reader. Listen to your readers and be ready to change the story if need be. Follow the truth of your characters - build them from the ground up and they will come alive.

UNDERTOW is a sizable epic. The entire sweep of the series was based on many things, including my grandfather's war stories, Cape Cod, JAWS, and a healthy dose of my own weird mind.

I write in scenes, rather than from the first page to the last. That way, I write the scenes I feel like writing. It keeps me moving forward, all the time.
