Hello, Bruce, and thank you. I really appreciate the support. I am with a new publisher now, and the editor is a renown and former columnist for the Washington Post. The next Shaman novel was just released. Although, I had to rework the title due to the change in publishers. The new novel is called "Shaman-The Dawn's People" by VR McCoy. If you enjoyed the Awakening, buckle your seat belts for this one, and enjoy the ride! Thank you again, my friend.

I've only experienced writer's block once. I was working on a manuscript and wrote myself into a corner. I usually construct an outline before I begin, but once I get going, I'll new ideas as I'm writing or typing, yes, I do both when composing. I didn't even know it was writer's block until a couple of days passed and I realized that I'm wasn't taking a break from the manuscript to get fresh ideas, it was a wrap! What I did in this occassions was utilize the research that I did on the manuscript and went in a totally different direction, new title, characters, the works. I place a lot of time in doing research for my novels and it seemed like a waste to just toss it. I was pleased with the new direction. Sometimes it's best to take a step back and re-evaluate where you're going.

I'm sure it's different for everyone, but the things I enjoy the most about being an author is being able to introduce the worlds inside of my imagination to the public and have them actually get and enjoy what I'm attempting to display. The next thing is being able to engage and connect and with the readers through social media. It is such a pleasure to interact with readers and gauge their ideas on subliminal messages, metaphors and clues that I often leave in the story line. I enjoy hearing what they have to say about the novel.

Write, write, write and never let any one discourage you from your passion. There will be plenty of haters and critics out out there, but don't let them get you down, just be true to yourself and your writing.

It really doesn't take much to get me inspired. I'm writing or thinking about passages for current manuscripts and future ideas every day.

I was researching my family heritage when I came up with the idea for Shaman. I came across some interesting reading in reference to Shamanic practices that struck my interest and led me into the the world of Shamanism. I had already published a novel in the crime thriller genre and decided to merge the crime thriller genre with the supernatural genre resulting in this supernatural thriller.
