What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Mindy Haig Well, There are about a thousand books I would like to read, and 2 that I am in the process of writing. I would definitely like to get to Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie and The Salmon of Doubt by Douglas Adams. I also have Sisters of Sorrow on my iPad waiting patiently. Summer is busy when you have swimmers so we'll just have to see!

Hi Mindy! Your books are on my list of "when I have nothing new to read, I read Mindy's books again." That same list contains Immanuel's Veins by Ted Dekker - one of my favorites, the Twilight series and the 50 Shades of Grey series! I LOVE your stories! How do you deal with writer’s block?
Mindy Haig Typically I have a number of projects going on at once, and if I am struggling with one, I will put it aside and work on another. Reading the story from the beginning helps, and if I have associated a song or a genre of music to the book, I will also listen to that while I am working.

What are you currently working on?
Mindy Haig I am currently writing Forsaken - which is the sequel to my novel Glory, it wraps up the series: The Messenger, Glory, Forsaken. I hope to have it out this spring.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Mindy Haig I wrote a Short Story that was supposed to go into an anthology with a number of other writers. I was happy with the story, but the project fell apart. I had a couple of the other stories drafted, so I decided to compile the stories into a book. I know lots of people don't like to read short stories, but I think they are satisfying - especially when you're pressed for time!
