Roxanna Rose Laura, I apologize for taking so long to respond. Due to that crazy thing called life I have been away from here for far too long. Desires (A Legacy Novel) has been given a new ISBN, however it is now available at Amazon, B&N, Powell's, and many other booksellers. I am pleased to say that Malevolence (A Legacy Novel) will be released on July 24, 2018. I will post the official book cover on July 1st, as well as, launching a giveaway in here and on each of my social media sites. P.S. To celebrate the release of Malevolence, I will be dropping the eBook price of Desires to $.99 starting July 24th and running for 2 weeks. Happy reading!
Roxanna Rose I don't get "writer's block." Occasionally, I will have what I call a "creative intermission." If I reach a point in my current work in progress where I just don't know what happens next then I will take a "creative intermission." It could be working on the rough draft of another story, or material for my website, or even writing something for a future podcast. The point is that I just keep writing. I don't let my "brain fart" stop the creative flow, I just shift it to another project. Usually, as I am working on the my "intermission" project the answer to "what happens next" will come to me.
Roxanna Rose I really enjoy researching my stories. I try to add as many actual events, places, etc. as I write. It makes the reader feel like they are part of the story if they recognize actual places or events.
Roxanna Rose Stop using the word "aspiring" because that's what you will continue to be. If you start to tell yourself and the world, "I am a writer," then you WILL be a writer. Of course, then you must write something and finish it. Make it the best story you can create, send it to an editor, get it published (traditional or Indie, doesn't matter), and then write something else. That is how a writer becomes an author. You must believe in yourself before anyone else will believe in you.
Roxanna Rose "Malevolence (A Legacy Novel)" has been sent to the publisher. Currently, I am working on the rough draft of "She Who Watches (Evil Unleashed)," which is based on a Native American legend. I will also start writing the rough draft of "Sacrifices," the final Legacy Novel book.
Roxanna Rose I read a lot of myths & legends from around the world. Some I am drawn to and story scenes will flash in my mind. I will then start to listen to various types of music (from that culture, etc.) and the story is born.
Roxanna Rose Desires (A Legacy Novel) and the entire Legacy Novel series, which includes Malevolence (TBR August 2014) and Sacrifices (TBR January 2015), are rooted in Irish legends.
