Graham Downs I'm between projects at the moment. To be honest, I've been between projects for a while now, resting on my laurels after releasing Memoirs of a Guardian Angel last year.

But it's a new year, and time for some new adventures, so you can be sure I'll be working on something soon!
Graham Downs Sure! I'll be posting these on my Twitter account all week, actually. Here's one:

"The corpse glared. She screamed mercilessly."
Graham Downs Hi Douglas,

Yes, I do. Plenty. Or rather, let me say that I review plenty of books by plenty of authors. Some indie, some traditional, some Goodreads Authors, and some not. I review every book I read, on Goodreads. :)
Graham Downs Gummadoon. Seriously, I was a MASSIVE fan of the Gummi Bears when I was little, and I still remember most of that particular episode by heart.

I'd sit around all day drinking Gummiberry Juice and listening to the tales of the Gummi Knights. It'd be truly epic!
Graham Downs Well, first of all, it's winter here in the Southern Hemisphere. :P

Nonetheless, I personally don't base my reading on the seasons. I have a pretty massive TBR list on Goodreads, so I tend to just pick one at random and start reading. Last week it was Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Right now, I'm working my way through Tales of Worrow Vol. 2 by Darren Worrow. When I'm done with that, who knows? ;-)
Graham Downs It would have to be the mystery of how a beautiful woman like my wife could fall in love with a geeky guy like me.

I don't know the answer, but I think it might make a great book. Until someone writes it, though, I will content myself with knowing I don't have to understand the why; I just have to accept the fact.
Graham Downs I spent a moment thinking about this, and to be honest the best example I can come up with is Catelyn and Eddard Stark, from A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin.

It's everything they've been through, individually and as a couple, that sets them apart for me. And despite both their shortcomings, they stick together and support each other no matter what. Even later in the series, with Eddard long dead, Catelyn treats his memory with nothing but honour; I'd love to know that my wife behaved that way around me, even after I'm gone!
Graham Downs Wow, thanks for the question!

It's not as easy to answer as you might think. I have so many ideas floating around in my head, and many of those ideas would only work if written in a certain genre. So each of my books, regardless of the genre, has a really special place in my heart.

If I was really pressed to pick just one, I would have to say A Petition to Magic. It was my first self-published work, and so it will always be special to me.

Another one that springs to mind, as perhaps a close second, is Stingers. That one came into my head as pretty much a complete story, when I was invited by Darren Worrow to write something for his (then) upcoming anthology, I am not Frazzle! People who know me tell me it's my most authentic story, because it's about bullying in High School. Having been bullied myself, I have a fairly good recollection of my High School years, and with both my parents being schoolteachers, I also have a fairly good understanding of what goes on in a school staffroom.

Both of those experiences, I think, really came through in the descriptions of the situations and characters in Stingers.

My favourite genre to READ is Fantasy, and A Petition to Magic is Fantasy. I want to start getting back to that, so I'm working on Tales From Virdura, which is set in the same world. I can only hope that it will be as well received as A Petition to Magic was.
