Juliet Waldron "Green Magic" which is historical fantasy set in the Napoleonic era in the UK. It continues the family saga which started with "Red Magic" and enlarged in "Black Magic." I'm interested in exploring the many different kinds of occult experience that have become so popular in the now well-stocked fantasy genre. The narrator is a precocious young teen, who first appeared in the second book, as a particularly annoying little girl.
Juliet Waldron Alexander Hamilton has been with me since I was ten, when my mother bought me a novel written in 1902 from a used book store. The writer did a lot of pioneering research on the early life of her subject, but this was 1902 and he was a Founding Father, so she romanticized and fictionalized a great deal. Still, Hamilton was a companion all through my teens which was spent, like his, in the West Indies. It wasn't until later that I started reading biographies to learn more. This book was finished in the 90's and sat "in the drawer" until last year when I decided, finally, I could let it go.
Juliet Waldron Began seriously in the 4th grade when I wrote a Bambi fan fic play which was performed by my class. As Mrs. Malaprop would say, "It was the very pineapple of perfection."
Juliet Waldron I quote Nora Roberts, whose productivity is absolutely astonishing. "Put your fanny in the chair and write."
Juliet Waldron Writing--the rest is horrible--as I'm something of a hermit.
Juliet Waldron Ignore it and it will go away. Or, move onto some other project. Or, go for a few days of staying the heck away from the computer, catching up on the laundry, the vacuuming, the garden, the cat fur, or taking a bike ride or a long walk. Then the little voices will become annoyed that you aren't fretting about them, and they'll, one by one, return.
