It wasn't enough that he was lying at the bottom of a ravine in the middle of the night, but pain shot through his legs and he knew something was broken; he would struggle to walk if he could at all. As he lay on the rocky ground, severely bruised and scraped and uncomfortably spread across the narrow floor of the gully, all the while wondering how he was going to get home let alone climb out of his predicament, something cold moved underneath his hands and wrists, something alive, and many of them...

I don't have any deep dark secrets and I am not considered a mysterious person, in general. However, many of my friends will tell me that they wonder what it would be like to live in my mind, full of so many ideas and ambitions....perhaps a little like Willie Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory, full of dreams and imagination. I think this question has inspired another novel idea. What if there was technology were you could go inside someone's mind...perhaps a little like the movie INCEPTION...yet not...

I haven't ever thought about this before...I am not sure whether this is my most favorite, but I love Ma and Pa Kettle. She's no nonsense and he knows who really runs "this machine". Ma gladly fulfills her responsibilities as a wife, a mother of a zillion kids, and a significant woman in the community no matter how she dresses. She isn't afraid to speak her mind or put people in their place. Pa is patient, and respects and loves his lady. He always tells her she is beautiful and appreciates the hard working woman she is. He does what he is asked to do, and humbly steps up to the task even if he doesn't know how to do it (which is often the case). They are adorable and hick-ishly romantic.

Scenario 1: If I am working on a novel where I hit a writer’s block, it might be an indication that I have turned down a dead-end road with that part of the plot...maybe the fork isn’t too far back up the road, but I usually retrace my steps and try the other direction.
Scenario 2: Sometimes, the inspiration isn’t coming for a certain story so I will switch gears and work on a different novel. It seems to loosen things up and I am soon able to return to the previous novel with new ideas.
Scenario 3: On occasions, I have drained my inspiration bucket so low that I just need a break to stimulate fresh ideas...so I will look in the theatres for an inspiring movie and go and see it...popcorn and all!

Sharing my heart. Creating stories. Creating characters I love in a world I can only dream about. And I can visit that world anytime I want, by simply opening the pages to my story. And my readers can enter my world and see things as I magically envision them, and perhaps discover a place they want to be.

I am currently working on Andragathia and Clarence Moon. They should both be available by the end of March. After that, I will be working on two screenplays and the sequel to my novel, Corvette the Courage of a Cowboy... More than a Rookie.

The moment I first knew what a book was and heard the story that emerged from its pages, I knew I wanted to write (perhaps I was two years old). It was always in my heart and soul.
To get inspired to write, I sit back and let myself dream...allow it come, allow yourself to float above the clouds and break away from the world. Just sit back and dream and let the world drive by you on a distant road while you bask in your imagination.

A little over a year ago, I was walking through a cemetery with my cub scouts for a field trip (I was a leader at the time) and I asked the boys if they ever wondered who each person under each gravestone was and how they died. Shortly afterward, a story began to build in my mind. I imagined a high school boy having the power to touch a grave and go back to the time and day the person who inhabited the grave died...and even change the past.
