I love the story of Beauty and the Beast. I think they are my favorite couple. The story shows how love can bring out the best in even the most tormented soul.

I don't at the moment because my favorite genre is metal. I would probably find myself making those weird heavy metal faces, head banging, singing along and not writing. haha I have recently considered listening to classical as background music while writing to see if it makes me more creative. I've added a Mozart station to my iHeart radio and am interested to see what happens. :)

The inspiration to my current project came from a photo I found on a stock website. I wanted to get my creative juices flowing and found a picture of an open umbrella discarded on wet cobblestones. I wondered why it was there and what might have happened before the photo was taken. A flash fiction story emerged but this smaller piece wasn't quite enough. It has since inspired a full blown novel.

I'm currently working on a horror novel that I hope to finish up by October. I'm really excited to be branching out into a different genre. It is a natural progression I suppose because horror is my favorite genre to read.
