Emma Chase Erin & Jack do morning have their own book, but are secondary characters from the Tangled series (that cross over into the Getting Some series in Getting Played). They are featured in Tangled & Tied.
Emma Chase Thank you for this question Rabecca! Some characters are drawn from real life more than others, and I'm usually not aware of the inspiration while I'm writing. For instance, it was only after Tangled was published that I realized Drew's niece Mackenzie was based on my little sister when she was four years old.
I identify with a lot with Olivia and her personality is more similar to my own than any other heroine I've written. xo
Emma Chase Getting Schooled is a standalone with interconnected characters! So we'll be heading back to Lakeside in Dean's story coming early 2019!
Emma Chase Maybe! Jack & Erin (from the Tangled series) will make cameos in my 2019 release, book #2 of the Getting Some series (the follow-up to Getting Schooled). :)
Emma Chase Hi!
Yes, Nicholas is Thomas's son, Lenora's Grandson. Thomas and Calista don't have a book of their own, but we learn a lot of their story in the thoughts and dialogue of the characters in Royally Screwed.
Emma Chase I hope to write stories for all of the next generation of Wessco royals!!
Emma Chase Hi Sole,
Thanks for your question. Edward and Lenora have 2 children - a little girl who (mentioned in Royally Screwed) and Thomas (Nicholas & Henry's father). Yes, I would love to write stories for Jane (it would take place when she is a princess - Henry will still be alive) and all of the next generation of Wessco royals. No set release dates yet, but I have ideas!! <3
Emma Chase The author typed THE END below the final line of the masterful 88,000 word contemporary romance, that was due to her editor that very same day, and then went to the kitchen to refill her coffee cup. But when she came back, sat down at her desk and tried to email the manuscript to her editor, the document had vanished...and all that remained was the haunting message: FILE NOT FOUND.
Emma Chase Hi Maria,
Thank you so much! I've read some truly amazing college sports romances (The Game On Series by Kristen Callihan & The Off-Campus Series by Elle Kennedy are two of my favorites!), but I haven't yet gotten an idea for a story myself that's grabbed me. When & if I do - I will write the heck out of it! That being said, my current work-in-project has a bit of a sports angle. I'm *really* enjoying writing it & can't wait to share it with you :)
Emma Chase Hi Annette,
I didn't pattern Wessco after one specific country, but chose details from a few different countries to create Wessco.

The formation of the country came from Scottish and English history (the Scottish Wars for Independence) with some creative license. Wessco is made up of the southern region of Scotland and northern England - the Wessconian accent is a blend of Scottish/northern English.

The government is based on aspects of Jordan, Monaco and the UK.

Wessco is a constitutional and hereditary monarchy. The order of succession would be enshrined in the country's constitution (which is difficult to change/ratify).
The king/queen is head of the executive branch and signs, executes, and vetoes all laws. But a royal veto may be overridden by a two-thirds vote of both houses of parliament.
Parliament in Wessco consists of the House of Lords (these seats are hereditary - passed down through the noble families) and the House of Commons (these are elected seats).
This is why Queen Lenora was concerned about the feelings of the people toward the royal family, as well as anti-monarch leaning members of parliament in Royally Screwed. If public sentiment turned against the monarchy, parliament could pass laws/amendments to the constitution limiting the royal family's power/role in government. With enough votes, the Queen wouldn't be able to veto those laws.

Sorry if this was way TMI, lol! Due to pacing, not all of these details made it into the royally series, but it was fun researching different countries to create a realistic Wessco.

And I enjoyed sharing that info with you here - thanks for your question!
Emma Chase Hi Rosalia,
