Hi Patrick--I just listened to your interview on Paul's podcast and really enjoyed it. And as an Evertonian, I was pleased you didn't neglect my team in your colouring book series! Like you, I've lived here for ages. I published my first indie novel last year and have just put my second up for pre-order. Do you get to Tokyo occasionally? I assume then, you read it in Japanese?

Patrick Sherriff No, no. It's an English translation. If you go to Amazon.co.jp you can search in English and I'm sure they stil have paperbacks. Where are you in the world?

Where did you find the Tokyo Zodiac Murders. I could only find a copy in French (which I accidently bought and donated to a French School). Also is it very gory?

Patrick Sherriff I ordered it from Amazon.co.jp. Gory? Well, the crime involves mutilated women's corpses. But, they aren't described in particularly gory detail. Gory? No. Distasteful? Yes.

It is nice to meet you. You seem to embody two of my favorite things to read. Almost all of my favorite authors are British and I am fascinated by Japan. I will accept your friend request. I see you are following my reviews and that you asked to be my friend. Can you tell me what inspired you to make the request? I don't think that I know you. I don't believe I have read any of your books. The newest one sounds intriguing.

Patrick Sherriff I've been tootling around on Goodreads for a couple of years now but finally thought I should try to get more from it. Ultimately, I want to find folk who might be interested in what I write (my reviews and my books), but I'm also interested in folk who like to read genres that I'm into, specifically mystery, humour and all things Japan-related. I'm getting progressively tired of the interactions that I get on Facebook and Twitter as more often than not I'm just interested in books, not political opinions or blow-dried cats. Although there is a place for them too. Anyway, I requested your friendship because I agreed with your reviews of Keigo Higashino's books and noticed you've read and reviewed a lot more Japan books than I have.
