There are now 7 plus a smaller edition that I wrote for Australia Reads (It's called Spy Games). The 8th book comes out at the end of September.

Hi Hannah, it's there now. Sorry - I don't check my questions here very often :). I'm so glad that you enjoyed the book and I agree Norway sounds like a fun place to go next!

Thanks Eva - that's so lovely of you to say. I have just started writing Kensy and Max #9 - which is set in England and New Zealand. I will be writing more Alice-Miranda books but not for a little while as I have some other new projects on the go too including a new series which will launch mid next year. Best wishes, Jacqueline :)

Hi Xavi, I'm always thinking about ideas - and asking myself the question, 'what if?' it helps get my imagination working. Have you been able to get any of the books? Distribution is up to my publisher and also happens when rights are sold for the books to be translated into other languages. I would love to see Kensy and Max in Bahasa - but that's up to my publisher. Best wishes, Jacqueline

Thank you so much for answering my question! Yes, I have read all your Kensy and Max books when I was still in Australia. I loved to read them when I was still there. I only have two of them here in Indonesia, but I'm hopeful that someday I can get more Kensy and Max books.

I think I'm more like Max - not as impetuous as Kensy and I'm very tidy like Max :)

Perhaps Miss Grimm (the happy version) but I have a new series that is coming in 2022 and I am really like the character in that story.

Hi Cynthia, I loved visiting your school and hope that I can again one day (when life returns to normal). I don't find it too hard to come up with ideas. They're all around really. Sometimes its a concept like starting ballet lessons or perhaps a disaster that inspires a story but it's never too hard to find something to write about.

Hi Cynthia, yes it's already out. It's called Clementine Rose and the Best News Yet. Hope you get to read it soon.
Best wishes,
Jacqueline

At least 20 though I hope there will be more than that.

Yes there is but I think the release is going to be delayed due to Covid 19. I am waiting to hear about things at the moment. The script us written and the voices are recorded so I think the hold up is because of the network.

Hi Samantha. That's a tricky question as there are so many great parts to being a children's author. I love when you have a new idea that just won't leave you alone. I love the time when the story begins to brew and you can't wait to get back it every day. I don't think writing for children is any easier than writing for adults. But you do have to be in touch with your inner child -that helps. I don't tend to 'dumb down' the vocabulary at all. I love writing books that will challenge children to learn new words. Just yesterday when I was editing Alice-Miranda in the Outback my editor and I discussed whether I should change a word in case children wouldn't know it and I said I thought they could probably get it in context but wouldn't it be good if they also asked or looked it up. Thanks for your question. Stay well :)

Hi Bethany, I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. The book is already there - it's under Clementine Rose and the Bake-Off Dilemma. Hope you can find it and add your review. Many thanks, Jacqueline

At the moment I am signed to write 4 books in the series but I can see there being more than that. Fingers crossed :)

I'd prefer not to spoil any potential surprises :)

At least another 3.

Alice-Miranda Friends Forever was released in November 2019 as an animated feature film. It premiered across Australia and New Zealand in Event Cinemas and can now be viewed on STAN or iTunes. The second movie, Alice-Miranda A Royal Christmas Ball is set for released in November 2020.

Yes I am! As soon as I finish Alice-Miranda in Scotland I will be writing the next Clemmie book which is coming out in August.
