I get asked this quite a bit! As of now, I'm not writing a secret to Liesl's story but I always keep an open mind and I hope someday to revisit her and 1930s Hollywood. I hope you enjoyed Code Name Edelweiss!

Hi Beth, my latest novel released just this past March, Code Name Edelweiss. I'm working hard on my next book and will let my readers know when I have a release date. You can follow me on Facebook or Instagram for the most up to date news. Thanks for checking in!

HI Beth, that's a tough choice. I like ebooks because they go with me wherever I am! I read on my phone so if I have a few minutes waiting in line or stuck in a waiting room, I always have my book with me. And they are often priced right. CNE is only $5.99 today on release day! But you are right about going back. It's a lot easier in a print book. And I do love holding a book in my hands and having it sitting around the house like it's waiting for me :) If I had to choose, I would probably choose print for CNE because there is a lot going on in the book and you might want to re-read some parts as you figure out the mystery of "who is agent thirteen?" Thanks for the question!

I love all those suggestions! There are so many beautiful stories of women in the Bible. The Old Testament would be a new venture for me -- I'll give it some thought!

Thank you so much for letting me know, Adrienne. When I hear from readers like you, I know that I'm doing what I am meant to do. I am currently writing more, so watch my Facebook author page for updates. There are SO many great female characters in the Old Testament that I'd love to write about: Deborah, Lot's wife and daughters, and Eve are the first that come to mind. Who's story would you like to read?

Hi Elizabeth,
I do love Fr. Barron's Advent series. He has such a gift for writing and speaking with clarity and wisdom. I love his ideas on 'waiting' -- it is so hard to wait in a culture obsessed with the 'now'.
As for advice on writing, you are on the right track! The most important thing to do is to keep at it. Do it every day. Then, join a group that will give you both encouragement and solid advice on writing craft. Better yet, join several groups. A good critique is the most useful thing any writer can receive. It can be extremely intimidating to give the work of your heart over to a friend -- and even more so to a stranger -- but it WILL make it better and that is what every writer needs. Don't be afraid to share your work and get feedback.
I hope this helps and good luck with your writing!

My most recently released book, The Thief, came about right after I'd been offered a 3-book contract by my publisher, Howard Books. I was ecstatic. Then, they asked for a a synopsis for a second book in The Living Water Series. I was terrified.
I knew that I wanted the series to hinge on the life-changing miracles of Jesus and that I wanted this book to start with the healing of the man born blind but that was all I knew. So, I did what I always do when I don't know what else to do -- I called my sister.
Over the next hour, we talked -- about books and characters that we loved and why we loved them. We talked about Dickens and his street urchins, about Shakespeare and girls who disguised themselves as boys, and eventually about how we both loved the good thief and had always wondered about his story. By the time I got off the phone, I had a story percolating in my brain and 24 hours later I sent a synopsis off to my agent for The Thief.
Thanks, Rachel, for your help with The Thief and for all the times you've been there for me!

How blessed to have a sister to communicate and excite and then help perk your story.
