The Hunted is really a continuation of The Forgotten, so it is really all one idea that was too long to fit into a single volume, so it will be spread out over three. I tend to write my stories in pieces, or scenes. They are not necessarily in order and are not even necessarily about the same subject, though they usually will relate. They are just bits and pieces that come to me at various times and I put them down on paper. Then, eventually, they may be tied together and wind up being a book, or in this case, three books. I have always loved the folklore behind vampires--not the Hollywood kind--and I have always been fascinated by Jack the Ripper. And I love anything about Victorian London. So between research, and writing my bits and pieces, I ended up with a trilogy.

Since I am one myself in the technical sense, I would say, just keep writing!

I think it is eliciting a response from people--be it good or bad. It is nice to know what readers think about your ideas, even if they do not always agree with you. It makes you think, and try to look at things from different perspectives.

I will often watch movies, things that are set in the same era the story is that I am working on. It helps to keep me inspired. I also tend to see my books as I write, almost as if I am watching a film, so I have dedicated music play lists. They are the background music to "my movie" as I write. I find it really helps.
