Thanks for the heads up. I think I have it fixed.

The biggest challenge was not using words and phrases that were too modern or "American." Luckily, I have a good beta reader group, and one of the women consistently flags words and phrases for me. I've gotten to the point where I check the etymology of words often, using Dictionary.com. For my novel, I used some Tuscarora words, but not so many as to be distracting for the reader. I'd err on the side of reader understanding. For my next novel, I went back to 1607. That made the challenge even tougher. I had to stick with words familiar to Tutor England. I only had one experience with an editor at Histria. I got less interaction than I had hoped for. I'm glad for a strong beta reader group.

Yes, they will stick to their estimated timeframe. For me, it was five months. I've been pleasantly surprised; they publish many more books each year than I originally thought. Now, they have partnered with Simon & Schuster for all their distribution, marketing, and sales. That has been a strong upgrade.
