Hi Eileen, thanks for your comment; I love hearing from readers! So glad you liked the book cover, yes I love it too, especially that foreboding Uncle Blackie shadow in the foreground. I think I a few other people have mentioned in their reviews that they liked the cover. Cheers! Liza

Scarlett O'hara and Rhett Butler. They are so passionate, romantic and good-looking, you can't help but love them!

I chose the same fictional couple! Romantic at heart here. Can't help but believe they are one of the top fictional couples of all time.

Hi Diana, so glad you enjoyed Blood Rose Angel! I love the medieval time period too. Yes in fact it was quite difficult to find (solid) medical information about herbs and plants used during childbirth mainly because most people couldn't read or write back then. So not many records were kept, especially concerning childbirth, from which men (the main writers) were banned. However, I did come across a few texts which were helpful, such as The Trotula and Nicholas Culpeper's "Complete Herbal". Also, the medicinal herbs and plants haven't really changed that much from ancient times, even to our modern times. Midwives were sometimes viewed as witches, but the real witch hunts didn't come until after the time period of my book. However, they were also revered... looked upon with a mixture of fear, suspicion and respect. I hope that's answered your question and thanks for your interest! Cheers, Liza. The Bone Angel series was initially inspired by a small stone cross, on a Sunday walk around my village. This blog post might better explain: http://lizaperrat.blogspot.fr/2012/06...

Very easily. A thought, a news story, an historical monument or event. There are stories everywhere.

Hi Sherry, lovely to meet you too. Oh yes, if it wasn't MY life story, I might write about it! I live in a rural village about 20 mins west of Lyon. Thank you for adding Spirit of Lost Angels, I hope you enjoy it! What do you like about France?
Sherry
Everything! It started in 1972 with a visit to Paris. As soon as we arrived, I felt like I had always lived there. Glorious as it was, I fell in love
Everything! It started in 1972 with a visit to Paris. As soon as we arrived, I felt like I had always lived there. Glorious as it was, I fell in love with Chantilly, then the Loire Valley, the Cote, any small village or hamlet, and all things "castle" - ultimately one of my favorites is the Dordogne where I set my book, The Dordogne Deception because we had rented a castle there (picture 30,000 sq.ft. for our friends and family while the owner took off to visit her family in Barcelona. Tower where I was writing post cards got hit by lightning, and then a major Dordogne storm that night kept me up until I felt compelled to write a murder mystery. After that trip, I looked at properties there for 6 months - determined to buy a castle-like structure and live there! You are living my dream. The food is out of this world, the culture, and pace, and the architecture of all of it grabs my soul.
