Bec McMaster Hi Marion,

Thanks for writing! And thank you xx

At this point, while I have a plot in my head for future books, I'm not sure if they're going to go ahead. Unfortunately, while I LOVE the books, they don't seem to have a very large fanbase, and with limits on my time I have to make tough choices about what I can afford to devote my time toward.

I do so love this series though, so never say never.

Cheers,
Bec
Bec McMaster Hi Hafieza,

Hope all is going well. Thanks for sharing the series with your friends.

I'm still plotting out the spin-off, so have no definitive date on its arrival. There *may* be something London Steampunk shaped coming this year, and I strongly recommend signing up for my author newsletter at becmcmaster.com as there may be limits on how much of a certain project I offer. More news coming in June/July.

I'll have to check on if From London, With Love is up on Book depository yet. Sometimes it takes a while.

As for London Steampunk series—my publishers continue to own the rights, so I have little say over potential reprints. Hopefully!

Cheers,
Bec

Bec McMaster Hi Nikki,

I've got the original trilogy planned, and then maybe a one-book spin-off featuring Mistmark (: Other than that, it depends on the muse.

Bec
Bec McMaster Hi Tonya,

Astrid is definitely getting her own story. Eric is a strong maybe—I'm still shaping the next leg of London Steampunk spin-offs.

Bec McMaster Hi Krithika,

Thanks for messaging. No, I'm sorry. The London Steampunk series is adult romance, and I wouldn't recommend for anyone under 18+

Bec McMaster Hi Amina,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm so glad you're enjoying Court of Dreams. At this stage I don't have a set date beyond 'Early 2022'. It's been a bit rough on the personal front for me this year, and so I'm not officially scheduling anything right now so I don't fall behind.

What I can say is that I'm currently working on Curse of Darkness, the third book in the Dark Court Rising trilogy, which will release in October.

And THEN the next book on my list is Queen of Lightning, and then Thief of Hearts. I'd push Thief of Hearts earlier, but it has an audio contract so I have to give Tantor enough time to do the audio.

Cheers,
Bec
Bec McMaster Hi Hafieza,

thank you for writing—I'm so glad you loved Master of Storms. Solveig was such a special heroine to write xx

Seduced By Darkness is coming out in hardcover soon. I'm just waiting on the final iteration of the POD cover from my designer, and then I can upload it.

As for Dark Curse, I don't have a specific date in mind. Unfortunately, this series has been giving me trouble and there's not a lot of reader demand for it, so while I'd love to put it on the schedule, at this current point in time I'm not entirely sure when it will appear.

Hope that answers your questions!

Cheers,
Bec
Bec McMaster Hi Bint,

Yes! Dark Court Rising is projected to be a series of around 8-9 books. After the initial trilogy, I was planning to spin-off to individual heroines/heroes. Book four, for example, will focus on Andraste.

Bec
Bec McMaster Hi Leone,

Thanks for writing. At this stage I don't have a set release date for Queen of Lightning. I would like to say it will be very early in 2022, but I don't have an absolute date. Depending on how the year unfolds, it also may be earlier.

Cheers,
Bec
Bec McMaster Hi Emmanuelle,

Thank you—so glad you enjoyed it xx

I'd love to do a hardback version of Promise of Darkness—and I've been toying with contacting a formatter—it's just a matter of time on my end, and reader interest on the other. There is a paperback available, but I agree—it would look amazing in hardback.

Cheers,
Bec
Bec McMaster Hi Meg,

Off the top of my head:
* Dukes Are Forever
* The Mech Who Loved Me
* Kiss of Steel
* Soulbound
* Heart of Fire
* Clash of Storms

I think that's it?

Cheers,
Bec
Bec McMaster Hi Cameron,

I think you can blame my childhood love of the Hades and Persephone myth. I used to consume anything that was loosely inspired by them, and a part of me wanted to write a twist on the myth. I was *also* addicted to anything written about the fae.

Sometime around 2013-2014 I started dabbling with a series featuring the fae and Hallows. There was a dark fae prince who interested me, though he wasn't the main hero.

The story for that book didn't work out, and in 2015 I shifted the framework of the world into a UF series I was planning. Again, it didn't work out. I realised at some stage that the real story wasn't in the real world, with the fae invading us, it was in Arcaedia.

And that dark prince began nagging at me, but this time, there was a princess there too. I had a major epiphany at some point about this being my H/P twist, and as soon as I thought of it, the world and the characters opened up for me.

I'm trying to be non-spoilery, but I'd also rewatched Memento (with Guy Pearce) at some stage, and I was like, ha, wouldn't it be weird to realise you'd lost your memories? And then I was like: But how do you lose them? How do you discover you've lost them? Etc.

And then this all kind of merged in my head, and Vi and Thiago came out of it.

Hope that helps (:

Bec McMaster Hi Rachelle,

Zero following. I was entering unpublished romance contests, and Leah Hultenschmidt (then-editor at Sourcebooks) was the final judge of one of them. She loved my entry, asked for the full manuscript, and then offered on it. I was currently on query to a few agents, and had to do a mad scramble to find one, and luckily Jessica Faust of Bookends agreed to take me on.
Bec McMaster Hi Linda,

My agent currently has the rights listed for this series, so I am hoping a publisher picks them up, though I don't have any set timeline/hopes at this stage.

Cheers,
Bec
Bec McMaster Hi Katyaini,

No, the Queen won't be getting her own book, though I think you might catch a glimpse of her HEA in Dukes Are Forever.

Cheers,
Bec
Bec McMaster Thank you! So glad you enjoyed.

As to the Blood Court, it's only a maybe at this stage. I would like to explore more (especially Kolya, as he captured my attention too!), but I have the next two years scheduled, so...it depends on time, and if there's enough demand.

In short: I don't know, but I'd potentially like to expand there (:
Bec McMaster Hi Marieke,

I definitely have plans for Erik and Astrid, though it's not going to happen until at least 2020. I need to set up a few things in The Blue Blood Conspiracy series first (the London Steampunk spin-off), as some of the introduced secondary characters that appear in that might be making an appearance in Astrid's story.

Cheers,
Bec
