Seraphina Donavan It's been percolating in my brain for a while. I took a trip to Scotland about two years ago and it's been cooking up since then.
Seraphina Donavan I simply write. The problem I have isn't ideas, but time to write them all down.
Seraphina Donavan Right now I am working on one of my regencies written as Chasity Bowlin. It's the third in the Dark Regency Series, called the Enticement of an Earl.
Seraphina Donavan Let go of your fear. Hearing the word "no" isn't that awful. It can also be an opportunity to get helpful feedback. If someone passes on your book ask them "why?". Don't debate the answers back to them. Just take what they give you and say "thank you". Maybe they passed due to personal preference. Maybe they passed because they already have enough writers in a particular genre in their agency or house. Or maybe there's something in the book itself that can be tweaked or altered to make it better. Take their advice, sit on it, ruminate about it, and if it feels right, do something with it.
Seraphina Donavan Getting to let out all the crazy people that have been clamoring inside my brain for so long. I know that sounds psychotic, but my characters are rolling around in there creating all kinds of havoc and demanding to be heard.
Seraphina Donavan I switch methods. I'll go from writing on my laptop to using pen and paper. A long hot bath helps. And sometimes, I read.
