C.J. Carter A sequel (or two) to Android Me is being fleshed out, and I expect this will be the next one out. I also have a speculative fiction novel in prep that is a book or more away from getting its turn, but it's still lacking a coherent plot, so its timetable is fluid.
C.J. Carter I don't really get it. Oh sure, sometimes I have a difficult story problem to work out that may slow me down, but it never stops me.

More practically, I employ three strategies: 1) I must know my ending before I start the text; 2) I do a mid-level outline -- not so vague that I'm stumbling about, but not so specific that I can't take detours.; 3) I'll just write anything on the page to get me to where I need to be. I figure it'll have to be rewritten anyway, so why worry about getting it right the first time?
C.J. Carter I've written about AI/robots/androids/cyborgs in the past, and I wanted to revisit that sort of character. I also wanted to setting to be a non-dystopic world that wasn't too far into the future (I've wearied of dystopias).
