D.D. Chant Hello! Thanks so much for getting in touch. My absolute favourite regency romance writer is Georgette Heyer, but my favourites of hers are the ones that take place mostly outside of ballrooms: Cotillion, The Unknown Ajax, The Corinthian, Simon The Cold Heart, and Friday's Child are just a few. She writes with a lot of subtle humour and really brings her characters and surroundings to life. She also writes mysteries but I love her historical novels more. I would definitely give her a try and I would love to hear whether you enjoyed her work. Dee xxx
D.D. Chant Wow, this is a difficult one! I have so many couples that I love together, but I think that I'm going to choose Mr Knightley and Emma. I Have a HUGE soft spot for Mr Knightley in any case, but I like that strong willed Emma will take advice from him (even if she doesn't like it at the time!). He loves her enough to tell her when she does something wrong: even though it might damage his relationship with her, even though she has a charming younger suitor and he might lose her. He values *her* as more precious than the feelings he has for her and is willing to lose out himself if it's best for her. And I love that Emma is big enough to accept his guidance, that she's honest enough to look back on her behaviour and see that she made mistakes. Emma appreciates that Mr Knightley will always tell her the truth, in fact: she loves him for it!
D.D. Chant Hi Dee!
Thanks for getting in touch. I'm currently halfway through the next book in The Lady Quill Chronicles, The Assurance. This is Leofric's story and I'm having so much fun with it! Leofric's cheeky but charming personality, coupled with his troubled past, is really blossoming in centre stage! I'm hoping it will be ready for release February/March.
After that I'll be ready to start on the next book in The Chronicles of Discord series. :-D
D.D. Chant Hi Dee,
Yes, there will be at least five books in this series. I'm currently half way through the next book, The Assurance, which is Leofric's story. As you said the tale is far from over; Daegmund of Gradock and his brother Anlaf will also have their own books!

D.D. Chant I'm getting ready to release the next book in my Lady Quill Chronicles series (The Vow) and I'm just about to start editing the next book in my Chronicles of Discord series.
D.D. Chant I try to write stories that I would want to read myself. My favourite thing is that writing a book is like reading my favourite kind of story, with my favourite kind of characters: but I get to decide what happens.
