Hi David,
Yes I know of the unsoled murder case of Dr Yeates in Vauclause in 1960. It is certainly an unusual case, particularly regarding the adrenalin injection. I think it is in one of my vintage true crime books, but I've not heard of the book by Candace Sutton.
Kind regards,
Amanda

I often have deadlines, and knowing I am under pressure is my number 1 stumbling block, you question your ability and start to wonder if you can do it. It is at times like that that I turn to what I like to call free-writing. I just set an hour or two and a blank page, unrelated to the project at hand, and just type, without interruptions. I just madly bash away at the keyboard or a notepad and let ideas flows. Once I am in the zone, I often then return to the 'real' task and am able to write.

That I appear so orderly and controlled, but my work is violent and wild. I enjoy breaking down the very essence of human emotion, to see the rawness and desperation of a lost soul, of an evil mind and of a desire to do good and throw it all together.

Write and read. Not just your own work, but anything you can get your hands on. You never know when inspiration will hit, so read, research, write, practice, critique your own work and ask for a critique from others, it is important to have someone look at your work and help you with some constructive evaluation. A first draft is never good, it takes a long time to get it from a draft to the final product, don't be afraid tear it to shreds if that is what is needed. Just keep going at it.

In short, far too many projects, but my main focuses are currently on a unsolved serial killer case, Ritual 4 (the next book in the series) as well as a screenplay that I am writing. I do have another 50 or so projects some are hundreds of pages, others are only hundreds of words, it just depends what is happening.

I am actually inspired to write more often than I actually have time to write but that is why I carry a notebook - or three - with me at all times. I always have storylines on the go. If I feel a little blocked and inspiration is not coming, I will read over my previous writing, it often sparks the writing bug and off I go again.

Hi, that is a great question. I often spend a lot of time researching several options before choosing the ritualistic murders I want to use. I currently have idea for about 5-8 different types of ritual, but not all will make it into books. I then need to work out how it would fit into a storyline that enriches the characters development as well as provide an interesting story.
