J.R. Pearse Nelson These days the best thing is the freedom to pursue any project that drives you, and to do it the way that is best for you. The best stories are written for the love, and this freedom for authors is meaning a more diverse market for readers, too. I also love the fact that I can call daydreaming and reading all sorts of weird nonfiction "work." Hehe. :)
J.R. Pearse Nelson I always have more than one writing project going at a time. I believe in "project block" but not writer's block. The blinking cursor was a bigger deal in the early days, and not something I stumble over any longer. So maybe writers early in the craft can take some hope from that. Another tip: before you go to bed at night, look back at the last scene you wrote and any notes on the next scene you'll write. Sleep on it. You'll get a better start with your writing the next day.
