I fish. I think everyone needs a break every now and then. Being on the lake with my canopy up, especially when the lake is calm and almost void of other boaters, it's relaxing. I chill. Forcing a page, or even a paragraph when the muse is not with you, is almost a waste of time. I usually end up erasing almost everything and starting over again. Everyone that writes knows what I mean when I say this. Each of us has a method of relaxation. That is what I do when writer's block hits....chill.

It is relaxing for me. I can grab my laptop, pen and paper or my recorder and when I start writing or dictating I drift into another world. I can visualize people, places and things revolving around what I'm writing about and literally transport myself into that realm.

Start writing! A lot of aspiring writers procrastinate. They can't get started because they think they must have all of their story line before they start putting their thoughts down on paper. Yes, I still use pen and paper. I also use a tape recorder for thoughts. Of course my final manuscript is done on a laptop, but my point is, your thoughts need to be put down. Many people who aspire to write a book 'intend' to get started, but they never do. Amazon is a great place to publish. It's free and set up for self-publishing. They walk you through the entire process. You can print a proof copy, for your own use, without publishing to the public, if you visit createspace.com

I am currently working on my Fantasy series, Legion Of Dragons. Book 1, Rebirth is available for purchase, Book 2 Escutcheon will be available this year. There will be a finale to the series, book 3, and it will be available in the near future.

My Mother was my greatest inspiration for the good things I have done in my life. She encouraged me to do anything I felt I had a desire to do. Writing was a fun thing when I was much younger. My first introduction to writing was poetry, I loved poetry. Mysteries were always my mother's favorite, so I wrote a mystery for her. My first mystery, "Crystal Clear, A Supernatural Mystery", was written after my mom passed, but I think she would have enjoyed reading it, I hope so anyway.

My most recent book is "Where Is She Now". It is a murder mystery. I think I probably got the idea for this novel from a vacation we took in Colorado. The horseback ride that we took up into the mountains was breathtaking. I love horses and had aspirations for owning a dude ranch when I was much younger.
