Greg Matos
Like most who have put pen to paper, I was compelled to write by having a story I needed to tell. It was the first time I could share all of my experiences on active duty with family, friends, and the world. Since I was a young boy, writing has been an organic outlet for impassioned thoughts rather than anything forced or mechanical. Writing "Shattered Glass" was also a catharsis, a processing of one of the scariest moments of my life and the most challenging experience I have yet to face. Sharing and catharsis are the primary inspirations for my writing.
