Naomi Dawn Musch Oh goodness, 5th grade. Haha! It was terrible! I wrote my first publishable book in my 40s.
Naomi Dawn Musch Wouldn't that be cool! Sure I would. Thanks for writing. I have had a weird year, and very neglectful of checking in on my profile page. I'm so glad you liked Season of My Enemy! :)
Naomi Dawn Musch Hi, Linda! The answer to your question is an emphatic YES. Absolutely. Right now I'm getting ready for the May '18 release of the sequel to The Deepest Sigh called The Softest Breath. It picks up in 1921, just two years after the previous book. I also have a book coming out in October called Mist O'er the Voyageur from Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas. It takes place among the fur traders and voyageurs of the Great Lakes in 1807. On the side, I'm working on a novella called The Cutover Bride about a young woman, freshly immigrated from Finland, who is settling in the logged out region along the south shore of Lake Superior, and meeting her intended for the first time in 10 years. If you haven't had a chance, I hope you'll check out some of my other books. My Empire in Pine series (3 books) take place in Wisconsin's logging/railroad era from the 1840s-1890s and chronicle the lives, loves, and adventures of 3 generations of women. Thank you so much for the question, and for being at the party last night. It was a pleasure to meet new friends. I had a blast!
Naomi Dawn Musch I'm currently working on several projects -- yes, it's exhausting, but in a good way. I've recently finished the second book in my Echoes of the Heart (1920s) series. Edits for this one, called The Softest Breath, will begin in January, and the book will release from Desert Breeze Publishing in May '18. I'm also about to begin edits for my novel Mist O'er the Voyageur -- a fur trade era novel set on/near Lake Superior -- which will release from Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas in October '18. In the meantime (I know, what meantime?) I'm working on plotting a third and final book for my Echoes series, and I'm thinking hard on a possible sequel for Mist. Naomi Dawn Musch My most recent novel, The Deepest Sigh (Echoes of the Heart, Book One), came from considering the Old Testament story of Jacob, Rachel, and Leah. What woman, having read that story, hasn't felt sorrow at some point for Leah. My story is definitely not a retelling of that story -- for one thing, plural marriage??? No. The Deepest Sigh is a WWI era story that does, however, deal with a man working on a farm, who is caught up in a love triangle of sorts with both the farmer's daughters. Well... sort of. You can make your own comparisons to the Biblical account when you read it. Interestingly, my editor said the story reminded her of Gone With the Wind. Wow! That was a compliment I was happy to take.
