Karen,
Thank you for the very nice review and I am glad you enjoyed the book. I wrote it to be an fast pace enjoyable read using short chapters with a very interesting back story of what happened to doctors, professors, medical students during the Nazi era. I took liberties with the history to make it a thriller versus a historical text. The title specifically refers to The Caduceus - a symbol that controversially is sometimes representative of the medical profession (as this symbol is historically debated as to whether it actually represents physicians ) and The Swastika was obvious given the impact of the Nazi "physician" or "teacher" on the medical profession.
I am working on another novel but too early to discuss.

This is tough. I am inspired to write when I want to teach.

After studying the history of what happened to medical professors and physicians while at the University of Breslau. They witnessed academia as it turned into a Nazi political machine. I was fascinated by that phenomena amongst highly educated and cultured teachers. Many of the physicians were well known to me in my studies and training.
