My favorite character to write was the elderly lady named Marilyn because you never know what she is going to say. She makes an appearance in Book 2 as well. I also loved writing Leo. I had a blast coming up with fun things for him to say as one of her best friends. He's the friend I always wanted and will continue to appear in Book 2 and Book 3.
Fake dating is my favorite trope. Book 3 is fake dating and Book 4 is fake engaged. Two very different situations, but hopefully a lot of fun.

Oh, more than one of them will be! You can't live in Montana without catching some trout since it's home to brown trout, rainbow trout, cutthroat, etc! You'll love Axel. He's determined to get the shy girl to try some outdoor hobbies. Fishing is one of them. She needs to work on her casting technique though. Luckily, he's just the guy for the job. :)

My mother does genealogy as a hobby and has traced some Finnish DNA to a woman in a small fishing community. There is no record of a marriage or the father of her child. I think it would make a really beautiful historical fiction book. It could be a romance either forbidden or one night stand. But, it could also be a coming of age fiction. I even could see it as more fantasy based like Weyward, about a line of women who don't need men to pave their way.
