I'm so glad you loved them! And the answer is yes! Book 4 (focused on Laz) will be out in May (preorders next month if I can get the cover done!), and I'm hoping that book 5 (finishing up the Sam/Ulysses arc) will be out by the end of 2025. I've written several other books in the series about other characters, but I don't have an exact publication timeline. I'm hoping that altogether there will be nine books, and possibly one collecting short stuff (like "Dous") if I manage to write enough short stuff to make a book.

Unfortunately, Vagabondage Press recently closed its doors, so The Joy of Fishes is now out of print. If you want an ebook, I've put the file up on my website here: http://ehlupton.com/WiscGothicExtras/...
I also have one or two paperback copies left (drop me an email) and I see two listed used on Amazon. I would eventually love to republish it, but because of the amount of time it that will take, I don't have any immediate plans to do so.

Haha, no. Of course olives are green--actually, I think olives come in a lot of colors depending on ripeness and variety (and how much evil is in them, I assume; I don't really like olives). In English, "olive skin" is a way of describing people who have tan or brown skin with a sort of greenish undertone to it--that is, people who look like their ancestors lived in the Mediterranean, southern Europe, Northern Africa, and a few other regions.
Sam looks like that in part because, as you note, he's also Dionysus, who is Greek. He also looks like that because the Greeks thought of Dionysus as a god who had come to Greece from somewhere else, although archeological evidence suggests he's actually from Greece and had been there for a long time. Similarly, to the average Wisconsinite, Sam will look vaguely foreign, although his family has lived in Wisconsin for a long time.

Yes, olives come in many colors including black and orange. Olive tree wood is closer to the tan-complexion meant, but it really just means having a greenish or brownish undertone vs pink. The color of skin that tans rather than sunburns. It probably makes more sense if you think of paint-matching, but it's definitely one of the odder English descriptives.

I mean, Sam and Ulysses are amazing. Later in the series, there's another couple that I adore, but I can't say anything right now because of spoilers, so...just stay tuned.

I am so glad it arrived and that you liked the note! :) Hope you enjoy the book too. I guess this is a non-answer to your lack of question, so we are both succeeding here!
