Mere Rain Yes, olives come in many colors including black and orange. Olive tree wood is closer to the tan-complexion meant, but it really just means having a greenish or brownish undertone vs pink. The color of skin that tans rather than sunburns. It probably makes more sense if you think of paint-matching, but it's definitely one of the odder English descriptives.
