Hi Angel! Seeing Things was the original title of the first book in the series. I retitled them and gave them new covers to make them more marketable and appealing. The interior stories are the same.
The fourth book, Faerie's Killer, re-releases July 1, 2020, and books 5-7 re-release August 1, September 1 and October 1 in 2020. I'll talk to Goodreads and see if they can clear up some of the confusion.

I only get writer's block just after I finished a new novel. I take a vacation from writing fiction for a few weeks, and only write other things: letters, blog posts, emails, reviews, etc.

When it's going very well, it's even more immersive than reading. Also, I love making up stuff that I wish existed in real life. Someday I hope I'll inspire other people to be creative too. I fantasize about meeting someone at a con dressed like a Pilell, or hearing someone write music to the lyrics I wrote in a novel.

Unless you're not getting paid to write it, you should be writing something you enjoy. If you like it, other people will probably like it too.

Currently I'm working on book 6 of the Kit Melbourne series. I'd written the novel before under the title FAMILIAR BATTLES but that version didn't have Kit as the main character. I planned to revise it and insert her in, but then came to the realization that I had to start over from scratch with a new plot that bears only passing resemblance to the original. It's going very slowly.

I just sit down and do it. You can't wait for inspiration. Often I will sit down and feel like nothing is happening, but I write anyway, just write useless garbage I know I'll delete. I usually write my best stuff when I have only 30 or 45 minutes left, and I say "Well, I don't have much time left, I'll just outline my ideas for the next few chapters." Sometimes at that point I'll sit there a lot longer than I intended, because my outline turns into a scene which turns into a longer scene with turns into more outline.

My most recent book was MULBERRY WANDS. It has a lot of different elements in it, from a lot of different sources. I wrote it as a sequel to ALTERNATE SUSAN, and it takes off from the characters I created in that, but it also has new characters based off people I know or parts of my own personality. I got the idea of using the owls from an owl I saw in my garden. I got the idea for the translators from some research into sociology and what it is to be human. Different ideas come from all different sources, which is why it's important to read disparately.
