James Swallow I hope so! I have plans for more stories featuring Marc and the Rubicon team - keep watch on my social media or sign up to my Readers' Club mailing list, that's where any announcements will appear....
James Swallow Thanks! I'd love to come back to the Deus Ex universe, but for now I have nothing planned; the rights to the series are owned by the Embracer Group, and it would be up to them to decide if they want to produce more DX fiction.
James Swallow The audiobook versions of all my Marc Dane novels are available on Audible, but I'm afraid I'm not sure if some may be region-locked.
James Swallow Thanks! The novels in my Marc Dane series can be read individually, but I'd suggest reading them in order to get the full arc of the story and characters.
James Swallow The planet Arrakis, from the Dune novels! I'd see the sights, get some spice, ride a sandworm, take an ornithopter tour...
James Swallow I found it.
I know what you are hiding.
James Swallow Thanks for the compliment, glad you liked GHOST!
I decided to include some detail about the KCIA when I read up about the agency during my research for the novel - it was too good to pass up the opportunity, given all the shady stuff in their real-world history, especially when most Korean spy drama tends to talk about the North.
James Swallow Thanks for your interest in the books, Ross! We don't have an official date for the US releases of Ghost and Shadow right now, but I'm hoping they'll both be out in 2020.
Keep an eye on my official website (www.jswallow.com) for updates!
James Swallow Great question, Samuel! Ramaas (who incidentally, I visualized as actor Idris Elba) was a reaction to the portrayal of characters of a similar stripe I saw in other novels and movies. I wanted him to have more dimension, to be cunning and duplicitous in the truest sense of being a "pirate"... A smart bully who, despite all his flaws, has a reasoning to his behavior.
James Swallow Black Library are releasing a "complete" omnibus edition of all my Warhammer 40,000 Blood Angels tales in early 2019; beyond that, we've discussed some ideas but nothing is official as yet...
James Swallow Great question, Samuel.
I'm planning to parcel out some more of Ekko Solomon's backstory in future novels, so I won't reveal all - but essentially I wanted to write about a guy who had come from nothing, a former child soldier, someone who had done questionable things in his past and now finds himself in a position of power. Solomon has a strong moral code and in many ways he's looking for redemption, so his actions in the present are his attempts to balance the scales.
In terms of Solomon the man, I was very heavily influenced by the actor Colin Salmon, and I've always considered him the "model" for the character.
James Swallow Nomad will be published in a US edition in 2018, but in the meantime it is available from booksellers in the UK.
James Swallow "Condor" is a great movie; I do enjoy those 70's conspiracy thrillers - "The Parallax View", "All The President's Men", "Capricorn One" and "The Conversation" are all great examples of those kind of films that I've enjoyed. There's certainly an influence from those stories on my own writing.
James Swallow 1) There are definitely plans in motion to tell the story of the fall of the Death Guard, so be patient! In the meantime, Mortarion and his legion are appearing in a few other stories along the way.

2) I haven't written any Warhammer Fantasy fiction as I'm not as familiar with that lore as I am with Warhammer 40,000.

3) For the next Deus Ex, expect more of the same - conspiracies, action-adventure and cyberpunk drama!
