I wish I knew how I get inspiration then I could bottle it which would be a real help on days when inspiration is in very short supply. Ideas seem to come from nowhere - suddenly a character, a place or even a snatch of dialogue is there. Sometimes I can see a link to a story idea in something I have seen or read, but usually things must go into my subconscious and pop up again when they are nicely matured.

I'm currently working on a Christmas novella for 2016 - so, a whole year in advance. At least the weather is in keeping because trying to write a Christmas story in July is very hard! This story is set in a very snowy Norfolk and has a turkey in it - very much alive and determined to stay that way.
