I am working on a new project right now. The idea came to me by seeing all the hate that is currently in the U.S.A. right now. My newest project is all about love and coming together as one beautiful country.

When I was in the 4th grade, my teacher, Mrs. Scott went on maternity leave. There was only about 2-3 weeks of school left, we got a substitute, Ms. Carson. Since grades were already submitted, we basically did activities and in the afternoon she would read to us. She read us Tales of a fourth grade nothing. When she was finished, she told us it was part of a series. I spent that summer at the free library reading everything I could.
As I grew up, I started reading a lot of fantasy novels. I started to realize that none of the main characters looked like me, so I started writing my own. I shared my stories with my friends, and it just grew from there.
All girls fantasize about being a princess and I wanted the girls that looked like me to know that they could be.
My books bring a level of diversity, showing the love that is shared between all race of people.

For me, I usually walk away from whatever project that I am working on, and I work on something else for a while. When I come back to it with fresh eyes, I can usually move on with my project.

I am currently working on a Dystopian story that takes place an indeterminate amount of time in the future. The United States of America no longer exists, it has been divided into two kingdoms. The Verdeel kingdom and the Arallian kingdom. A ragtag group, including a banished duke, and the second born daughter to the Verdeelian kingdom will fight to make the United States of America United again.
