I've been very lucky, I really haven't had a bad experience since I started my writing career. I have, of course, had a few disappointments.
Like every writer, I wish my books sold more copies, but I guess the biggest disappointment of all is that I've yet to be approached by a Hollywood studio which wants to make a TV series/movie based on my fantasy trilogy. I'm not downhearted though. As Curly said in the film City Slickers, 'day ain't over yet'.

I've moved away from fantasy for my next book. I wanted to try something different and I've had an idea bubbling up in my brain for a while, so I thought I'd get it onto paper.
The working title is Bangkok Rot and it's a gritty, adult thriller peppered with a good dose of humour.
