I would go to Narnia because it was the place of all of my childhood imaginations. Even now, when the snow turns trees crystalline, I am shot right back to hiding in my closet, reading those novels, wishing I could disappear into a world hidden behind the wardrobe.

Writer's block, for me, is almost always my mind's way of saying, "Woman, you need to rest." I am a work-until-it's-done sort of person and often forget that writing with a tired brain has diminishing returns. So, I will take a nap, go for a walk, hang out with my family, until the brain kicks back in.
When that sort of level of rest isn't going to cut it (deadlines!), I will go back to the original inspiration for the story or just start free writing on the topic or in the character's voice I'm trying to manage. Usually, that sort of getting out of my own head works well.
