Unfortunately Gamer Girl is a standalone novel, meaning there's no sequel. The closest I can suggest of my other books is The Camelot Code which still has a lot of themes about gaming, etc. but with a time travel story, too! :)

I think my first YA series, The Blood Coven Vampires (which began with Boys that Bite) was the first series I started to be known for. But Gamer Girl was definitely the most popular of all my books, thanks to it being a part of the Scholastic Book Club and Fairs. :)

Different books definitely take different amount of time. With Golden Girl, I think with writing and revising and editing it probably took about 9 months. :) Hope you enjoyed the book!!

Thank you! And so glad you pre-ordered Smoked! :) Hope you enjoy the conclusion of the series!! As for the idea, I once saw a movie called Reign of Fire which was set in a dragon apocalypse future. I thought it was so interesting and it got me to thinking what would happen if dragons showed up again in our world...how would people react, would they end up on YouTube, debated on FOX News, etc. etc. And the idea was born. :)

I was watching a lot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer back then and really wanted to write my own vampire story. :) I wanted to play with the idea of the twins being identical on the outside, but very different on the insides and how to someone (like me, for example) becoming a vampire would be a dream come true whereas for someone else it would be a real nightmare. I had only come up with the first book when I sold it and had no idea it would turn out to be such a long running series!

I got published 10 years ago so it was a lot different than it is today. Back then there were no e-books or self-publishing so you basically had to get an agent and then have the agent sell your book. And yes, it was hard! :) I think there are only two real secrets to publication, though, even today. Perseverance (as in never give up!) and good writing! A good book WILL get noticed. Hope this helps!!

Unfortunately the publisher did not want a sequel so it's a standalone story.
