Peter E. Fenton I had always wanted to write a gay romance that reflected a relationship that was more similar to relationships I had experienced in my own life. At heart I am a romantic, and I am also a sensitive person.

The Woodcarver's Model is fictional, but the setting and even some of the characters are based on people I saw or met during a trip to Salt Spring Island off the west coast of B.C. some years ago.
Peter E. Fenton It is something that has become a habit. I feel the need to write every day because after doing it for a long time, it became a pattern.

I am inspired by things that I see around me all of the time.

The world is filled with inspiration if you keep your eyes and ears open.
Peter E. Fenton The Woodcarver's Model will be coming out April 19th and I am working on a three part gay detective series with the first book hopefully coming out in the summer of 2023 in time for beach season.
Peter E. Fenton Keep notes. Write often. Know that every book starts with a first draft that isn't perfect and that writing is a craft that continues to evolve over your entire lifetime.
Peter E. Fenton I enjoy using my imagination to explore worlds I create. I also love when the words meet the audience ... regardless of if that is in live performance for a play I have written, or seeing someone with my book in their hands.
Peter E. Fenton I go for a walk. Walking helps me organize my thoughts and gets me away from the desk.
Peter E. Fenton As I fell from the 23rd story of the building and the ground below rushed to greet me, I wondered about what the police would make of it all. And I wondered who had pushed me.
Peter E. Fenton I was always fascinated with Jules Verne's Journey To The Centre Of The Earth. What would I do? Explore!
Peter E. Fenton Although I write gay romance, I have a passion for many other forms of writing. I hope to tuck into a good mystery on the beach this summer.
Peter E. Fenton In a house I once lived in, they were doing some work on the foundation and excavating in the lower crawl space. The contractor found bones. It was clear that they had been there for many years. As a precaution the police were called. I was later told that they were animal bones, but there were a lot of suspicious "other" things they found including bottles that contained an acid. That was over 30 years ago, and I have always wondered if I was told the truth about what they found and who would go to the trouble to bury bones in the basement near bottles of acid.
