Write. Write. Write. Read. Read. Read. the more you do those 2 things, the better you will become at writing. It took me 3 years and several versions of my first full length novel, before my work saw the light of day. Now, I've been in one anthology and have published a novel and novella. Don't give up on yourself, but do allow yourself time to decompress and relax.

I take a step back and some time off to focus on something other than the story. This usually only last a couple of days before some random idea pops in my head. Then it's back to writing and talking to myself.

About 3 years ago, I was in a pretty bad auto accident. I literally spent that 3 year span having major surgeries. The down time got me started reading again and I fell in love with Steve Mchugh's Hellequin series. Not long after, I discovered Shayne Silvers. These were my gateway drugs into the urban fantasy genre.
These and other series led to me thing, "How awesome would it be to have this magical universe that is as violent and diverse as the myths that inspired it?" Digging deeper into the genre I found other novels that had more obscure creatures or gods. This led to me doing some independent research, then boom. The Realm Killer Universe was born.

Music and the flare of my imagination + reading. Those three things always put me in the mood. I tend to obsess over my stories in the sense that I must finish them. I've even dreamed about where a scene or story was headed. I'm working on stepping away from the various characters in my head, to enjoy what it's like to not stress over them.

I'm currently working on finishing book 2 of my urban fantasy series, Realm Killer. On top of that, Book 1 of the Doorman series and Winds of Fury (2 spin-off series) are going into edits this month.
